Business & Professional Speaker

Rick Geller co-founded the Southern Dr. Phillips Coalition, a group of neighborhood volunteers who have guided development to complement existing neighborhoods. Rick was an active advocate for the County's purchase of land for the newly opened Dr. P Phillips Community Park. The Coalition he led persuaded the Orange County School District to fast-track construction of Sand Lake Elementary School, which relieved severe overcrowding at Bay Meadows Elementary School. Rick led the fight for passage of the Buena Vista North design overlay ordinance, which set heightened architectural and landscaping standards for the area between the Disney tourist district and the Dr. Phillips suburbs. Rick helped to raise $2.3 million for construction of the Rosen JCC community center and preschool slated for construction on South Apopka-Vineland Road.

Rick, a partner with Rumberger Kirk & Caldwell, has practiced as an attorney in the area of business and commercial litigation for fifteen years. His wife, Gabriela, a pediatrician, is originally from Argentina. They have four children and live in the Windermere area.
